Deceased Equine and Large Animal Removal
The loss of your horse or large animal is a very difficult circumstance for owners, one that is rarely expected or planned. We at Horse&Halo understand the devastation and emotions that can come when experiencing a loss, and we offer our deepest sympathies, and a shoulder to cry on if needed.
We offer an all inclusive service that includes pickup, transport, and: cremation, standard disposal, or burial off-site.
Our business was founded on caring for people, and treating their horse with the utmost respect after death. We respond quickly, often within 2 hours or when arranged simultaneously with a vet on-site to quickly remove the animal from the property. We only transport one deceased animal at a time. Our equipment is always clean, and well maintained. Our removal process is as humane, caring and compassionate as possible when it comes to moving such a large, beautiful animal. After pickup, each animal is covered respectfully, tail or main clippings are provided if wanted, and taken directly to the disposal process of choice.
How We’re Different: We are NOT the old “gut trucks” of the past, and would never want our own horses treated that way. We don’t drive dump trucks, don’t use ramps or cranes, and we only transport one horse at a time out of respect.
